Early Morning Foot Patrol |
||
|
The final shift of the set, a night turn, started busy for Local Policing Team 5. With Police Constable Martin and me responding to eight 999 calls and proactively stopping and searching two individuals. As the shift progressed into the early hours of this morning, the flurry of calls subsided, giving PC Martin and me some much-appreciated time for foot patrol. Yesterday evening, a report of a suspicious event in Woolage Green prompted today’s hour-long foot patrol through the hamlet. From here, we then moved on to Barham Village, where another hour of foot patrol followed. As the end of our shift approached, we concluded with a final hour of patrol through Canterbury City Centre and Westgate Gardens. There’s certainly no better way to finish a busy set of shifts than an early morning foot patrol through our beautiful city and rural villages, taking in all the wonderful sights our district has to offer.
